POST-SCHOOL DANCE EDUCATION - TERTIARY QUALIFICATIONS IN DANCE
The following New Zealand Universities and Tertiary Institutes offer post-scondary school dance courses which lead to qualifications and career pathways for dance performance, choreography and production, dance writing and administration, private studio and community dance teaching, dance teaching in primary and scondary schools (a subsequent teaching qualification may be required), or univerities and other tertiary sector institutes. Students may also pursue postgraduate studies in dance.
Full-time pre-professional dance training
Dance training at Foundation, Certificate and Diploma level
Dance/Dance studies as a major subject within a BA, BEd
Dance studies at postgraduate level - PhD, MA, MCPA, PGDip

TDENNZA
The Tertiary Dance Educators Network of New Zealand Aotearoa (TDENNZA) meets to discuss issues in tertiary dance education. Their activities include coordinating regional events for Tertiary students and the Tertiary Dance Festival. Coordinator is Karen Barbour, University of Waikato.
Membership of TDENNZA is through DANZ membership.
