As part of the Goethe-Institut's dance initiative tanzconnexions the exhibition Frozen in Time. Photographs of Dance will be shown at the Tempo Festival in Auckland as well as The Body Festival in Christchurch.
The exhibition showcases 58 works by nine dance photographers and visual artists from Germany who have a special way of looking at dance theatre. The photographers explore dance forms from contemporary dance to classical ballet, focussing on choreographers like Philipp Gehmacher, Sasha Waltz and William Forsythe.
