DANZ LEOTC (Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom) Programme - dance workshops for primary and secondary schools.

DANZ provides hands-on interactive learning experiences for New Zealand schools.

Curriculum based dance workshops for primary and secondary schools are provided by DANZ through the LEOTC programme which is supported by the Ministry of Education.

The DANZ LEOTC programme is available for much of New Zealand with a focus on regional areas where LEOTC is not widely avaialble, e.g. Northland, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu-Wanganui, West Coast and Southland.

DANZ charges a nominal fee per student for the workshops to help subsidise workshop delivery costs.

The workshops are delivered by a variety of experienced tutors in different dance styles. See below for tutors available in your region. Tailored workshop(s) are agreed in consultation with DANZ and are available in specific regions if your class is studying a special topic. Please contact DANZ if you are interested in discussing this further.

Special Events
These are one-off workshop(s) or school matinees which are programmed by DANZ in partnership with dance companies that may be touring their productions. Information about these special events will be posted on the DANZ website as they become available.
