Choreographer Malia Johnston is a performance artist with much diversity behind her. Her work often deals with the concept of condition. Malia is commissioned to work with companies and insitutions throughout New Zealand. She has made work on Touch Compass, an integrated dance company since 1999 and has also made 6 works on Footnote Dance Company. Malia teaches and choreographs for Students at the two main tertiary institutions that develop dance technicians and practitioners in New Zealand, Unitec and The New Zealand School of Dance.
