Course Description
Undergraduate papers in Dance and Maori Performing Arts are available as supporting subjects to all students enrolled in a range of degrees. The undergraduate papers allow students to pursue their passion for movement and performance alongside other areas of tertiary study. The papers enhance students' core skills and allow them to develop as Dance and/or Maori Performing Arts scholars, teachers, performers, researchers and choreographers.

Dance Pre-requisites

No specific Dance or Maori Performing Arts pre-requisites are required.

Undergraduate degrees require 42 credits at Level 3 or higher on the National Qualifications Framework.

All papers have a practical focus, supported by theory and readings. Assessments focus on movement and performance, but also include some written work.

Note: Separate curriculum dance modules and papers are also provided specifically to primary and secondary teacher trainees.
