Course Description Research drives the Dance Studies programme. Postgraduate and undergraduate students blend practice and theory as they develop physical skills, aesthetic sensibilities, understanding of communities, education, problem solving, teamwork and leadership skills.

Master of Creative and Performing Arts – MCPA (Dance)
Postgraduate Diploma Creative and performing Arts CPA

PhD

Duration of Qualification

B.Perf.Arts (Dance Studies) – 3 years
MCPA – 1 year, 2 years part time
Postgraduate Diploma in Creative and Performing Arts – 1 year
PhD – 3 or 4 years

Pre-requisites

Gain University of Auckland entry requirements in Mathematics and English, and complete Dance Studies application requirements. 

Mature students need only provide evidence of experience and academic aptitude.

For Postgraduate Diploma CPA (Dance) and MCPA (Dance) must have completed an undergraduate degree in dance or related subject and received departmental approval.
